Mordachi of Darkspear

When the Kaldorei sacrificed the great World Tree of Nordrassil to stop the arch demon Archimonde during The War of the Ancients, they sacrificed their immortality along side it. A great loss to the Night Elves it was. Life adjusted to the newly mortal race, but there were those who believed they could gain what was lost back.

A seed was planted on an island off the north-east coast of Kalimdor, and using their powers of nature and knowledge of magic, a new great tree rose to stretch towards the sky. This was not blessed by the great dragon aspects though, therefore their attempt at immortality failed. Even so, it became the new home of the Night Elves and Darnassus, their capital city, was erected in the giant stump.

Though not blessed, the Night Elves fight to protect their new home and hope one day it will receive natures blessing.

Mordachi, a night Elf Rogue of the realm of Darkspear, leaves behind his home to join forces with the Alliance in a fight against the Burning Legion and it's Burning Crusade against Azeroth.

The Legion must never make it to Teldrassil. Mordachi has to stop them and push their forces back to the abyss once they came. He doesn't fight alone however. He fights alongside his fellow Knights of the Alliance as a Royal Knight, ever learning and becoming stronger with each passing fight.

This is a project I did for Digital Imaging for Print Class. Done in Photoshop. There is also a line art finished piece I could post up if people would like to see it. Personally I think this version looks the best though.
