Lvld Up - The Animated Series
This was the outcome of my Thesis, and first full length animation. 3 months of work, and has close to 200 hours of frame by frame, hand drawn animation. About 780 frames total.
The characters in the order they appear: Marcus, David, Hannah, Rachel, Professor Greenstone, Joey, Dr. Bryan.
The TV screen needs to have some motion graphics added to it. That is a project in itself using motion tracker mapping and will be my mini project this summer.
Hopefully I will become skilled enough in animation that I can do occasional episodes (aside from launching my Comic Site this summer).
The Theme Song "Take a Trip" was written and composed by my friend and neighbor Glen Harbin. The song was modified from 2:22 down to 0:52. Check out "Take a Trip" and his other songs at http://www.myspace.com/glenharbinmusic
Progress Update - 5 seconds of animation completed.
Animation is now nearly 5 seconds complete (that's drawing, animating, color and music). I just hit the first scene change.
I am looking forward to this next week. I have taken a week of vacation from work to make more headway on the animation. As I work on this, more and more ideas come to mind and I am fine tuning the animation. It is already slightly different from the animatic and I expect more changes to follow.
